Hi..

I'm Martha. I've moved in with my 86 year old Mother who was dx'd with NSCLC in April.. she did extremely well (choosing no treatment) until about 6 weeks ago.. and we've since found mets to her brain.

So.. she is very unstable on her feet. Using walker. Exceedingly weak.

Otherwise no pain.. no coughing.. just the neurological stuff from the brain tumor.

The Dr says 2-4 weeks at home is all we have. Then she may go to in patient hospice and they say that is only for the last week or so.

Honestly I see her decline.. but cannot hardly imagine she could be gone in such a short time.

So I've just moved in. My husband is so supportive.

Anyway .. wondered if others have advice on how fast this will spread and what I can expect.

She still eats normally.. but is on strong steroids to be able to walk due to the tumor in her brain.
