hi everyone its been a while since i last posted anything have finished all my treatments and now my hair growing in different colour and texture but hey at least its back and with it came my confindence which i had lost for a while there . I now have mastitis which in my ignorance thought you only got that with breastfeeding and im well past all that Its in the breast I had my lumectomy i have antibiotic for it had it now for a month its swollen and sore i see my surgeon on the 9th Nov so I hope all is okay you cant help but worry about changes there now and i wonder has anyone else suffered this
grade 2 cancer tumor 2 cm her neg lumectomy in nov 2006 chemo and radiotherapy all done by july 2007

It has now been over six years since I ended my chemo and radiation, but I did have mastitis several times after my treatment ended. I actually had to go for surgery for one time and my breast surgeon did it once in his office on another ocassion, which the numbing/anesthesia didn't work due to all the infection Crying or Very sad . But since then I have had no reoccurences. Very Happy

Rose,

Did they do a biopsy to make sure it was just an infection? I just looked it up on the internet and I'm NOT saying that it is, but the symptoms sound like IBC. I'm sure what you were dx with have the same symptoms, but I'd want to be 100% sure an infection was all it was.

As far as your hair. Mine came back real dark (before chemo light brown with blonde highlights naturally) and real curly. The longer it got, it straightened out and it like it was before, texture wise. I'm not sure if I'm just use to the color after 5 years or if it went back closer to what my natural color use to be. You're right, it's hair.Smile I loved my 1st bad hair day. I looked like Alfalfa all over and I wasn't about to try and comb it flat... lol
