Here goes...

I am a 21 year old (22 next month) female, and I have an swollen lymph node on the right side of my neck. It has been there about a month and a half getting bigger. It doesn't hurt at all, and wasn't bothering me at all.. until I lost about 7 pounds in a week or so. I'm 5'7, been stuck at 145 pounds for years. I also have had abdominal pain for quite some time in the left upper part of my abdomen. I'm always tired, but who isn't?

Almost forgot, I had mononucleosis something terrible right after I turned 18. I was hospitalized for a month. I heard there's some kind of link between mono and lymphoma...??

You guys seem pretty knowledgable. Am I a total hypochondriac or should I worry?

Thanks in advance for any and all replies!

Hi drop (for short Wink ),

I do not think you are being a hypochondriac... just aware of what is going on in your own body. I do recommend that you not worry. Swollen lymph nodes are primarily caused by infections. Having said that, you really should see a doctor since only a doctor seeing you can diagnose you properly.

Good luck and keep us informed.
