How in GODS name can this happen

Hello,

My name is Shawn , I live in southern illinois. I have had some wild symptoms this past year and it seems no one will listen to me, I am a 33 year old male and in august of 2004 i had some blood in my stool with some mucous on several different occasions. Since then i have had skin problems, a "scratch' in the back of my throat and some other wild symptoms. Staph, strep and yeast in my feet, which went to my hands and then i went to several doctors who all they wanted to do is put me on a antidepressant which made me feel worse, all over. I have begged and begged to be checked for cancer, any type of cancer and the only thing i was told lol ,you ll love this is " you are too young to worry about cancer' can u beleive that one, i sat there and i thought my god what is going on with this guy, there are kids all over St judes who have cancer way younger than i am and i cant even get screened. he laughed at me .one doctor told me i was a hypochindriac and i quit going to him, now i have went to the siteman cancer center in st louis, i thought this was going to be a oncologist at first but it wasnt it was a dermatologist specializing in skin cancer, geesh id dint even know that until a few days before i went. this was a wasted trip she said it wasnt skin cancer. oh well now i am back to square one, trying to find a doctor to listen to me and my bills are getting out rageous. this is so ridiculous, does anyone have any clues on what the heck to do to get someone to listen to you ?
I havent been irrational or acting like a nut but i would like to get this taken care of if at all possible, i mean this is going on 8 months now and tstill no one will even think of checking me out, what in gods name is wrong with these doctors around here? i am a police man and have served my duty for 10 yrs now, why can i not get someone to do the same for me ? i would just like to get checked out, is that so hard ? ]
sorry foir sounding irrational but my god i am in dire need here of some quiality health care for this , it is spreading and no one cares here.

Thanks for posting. I can feel your frustration about this. You certainly seem to have something that needs to be looked into. Skin cancer does not manifest like this, spreading from feet to hands etc. Also, blood and mucus in the stools are something that need to be looked into. The possibility of cancer is a concern, although very unlikely in your age group. Still, this needs the attention of a doctor. I know you've been trying to visit with them.... I believe the best thing for you to do is to find a good primary care doctor who can evaluate all these symptoms, and if necessary he or she can refer you to other specialties if necessary.

thank you so much for replying. This is what my fiance and I both thought. I was like how can this begin like this, starts in your feet and goes to your hands? It's like crazy. What about skin cancer? Could it do this ? or MRSA? I mean this is so wild. I know i am jumping around alot here, but this is driving me nuts. I just got back from St. Louis Siteman Cancer Center skin specialist and she said it wasnt skin cancer. I am freakin out thinking I still have staph or something still in my skin , but one of the doctors I went to says that if I still had staph in my body id be on my death bed. The wild thing is i can be ok one day and the next i feel awful, i mean barely able to get out of bed. They keep wanting to put me on antidepressants, but they make me worse, i mean so worse that I end up in the emergency room every time I am on one.
Anything else you can do to assist will be greatly appreciated.

one last thing , could your lymph systen get congested without youhaveing cancer? And would it make you lose weight and resemble a type of cancer? They keep scraping everythng but they never do do a biopsy. Also since i did have that strep, staph and yeast conformed in my feet could that be MRSA? And how in the heck could someone get that just out of blue? I mean does strep staph and yeast cause cancer? Or is it something that goes nuts in your genes? Could the strep staph and yeast mutated my cells to trigger cancer ? Man I am totally lost here. Confused
