It was a shock for the family when my father was first diagnosed with cancer in the prostate. He did not want to hear anything and he was very desperate. He did not want to heed the advice of the doctor to undergo a surgery. He was sure that there is medication for these types of health issues and he started to do his researches on the net and came through carboplatin on ******* which is medicine to treat the cancer and to prevent the cancer from going to an advanced stage. He is ready to start taking this medicine from now on.
Do you think it’s necessary to have the opinion of the doctor?? Can we rely on any medication found on the net??

Hi belief, I am truly sorry about your father's cancer. The first-line attack for prostate cancer is surgery unless it has spread to other organs. Has it spread or will he even do the tests to find out? Carboplatin plus other drugs are indeed used to kill cancer cells. However, he should not try to self-medicate with chemotherapy drugs. The are toxic. Tell him that chemotherapy drugs are poisons and should only be taken under a doctor's supervision. Plus, he will need a prescription to get them. I do not trust Internet pharmacies... especially outside of the US Internet Pharmacies... to deliver the same quality of drugs that a local pharmacy or, in some cases, a doctor's office will provide.

By the way, I deleted the link from your post. Per our policy, new members may not use hyperlinks to outside sites until they have earned that privilege by being an active member for over one (1) month and posted at least ten (10) significant messages (no duplications or frivolous messages count).

You and your father are in my thoughts and prayers.
