Ladies, Many breast cancers can now be treated as an outpatient procedure with a simple procedure that has tremendous success rates.
I am NOT discussing some ALTERNATIVE treatment. I am discussing an FDA approved board certified therapy that kills cancer tumors in a couple hours and patients go home the same day cancer free with their breasts intact. This treatment is available here in the USA in Chicago.
Dr. Dowlat is a well known, and respected physician who regularly lectures to other doctors about this proven treatment for breast cancer.
Dr. Dowlat was formerly associated with RUSH university in Chicago. You can still get information from the University website.
Dr. Dowlat has a new office in Chicago his phone number is:
312 397 1400
I am in no way associated with Dr. Dowlat. I would simply like to spread the word that there are options to months and years of the "Gold standard"
If anyone wants more information about the treatments, simply ask and I can post links to articles, abstracts and even ACS lectures about the procedure. |

This treatment is fine if the tumours are very small, but of no use over a certain size. It is an interesting step forward, nevertheless, particularly if the cancer is identified very early on.
Quote from a report on the treatment: Dowlat emphasized that laser therapy is not appropriate for women with large breast cancers or those which cannot be clearly seen on mammogram. |

I think too if it was showing great results, it would be widely used, which it's not. If I had the option, which in my case I wouldn't have, I would still go with what is known and has been known to work, instead of something new and not widely used. It's my life and losing a breast or both is something I don't regret......... I'm alive and doing great!!!! _________________ Nancy

Dr. dowlat currently is not doing the laser treatments. He will be at some time in the future.
Now there is Dr. Carpenter in Arkansas. She has developed an additional protocol that allows her to treat tumors regardless of their size. Larger tumors may obviously require more treatments, But for the chance to KILL the tumors in a very short time frame this is promising.
In addition to breast cancers she also works with several other types of cancers. She does not practice any type of alternative, nutritional immunological, detoxification or dietary strategies. She simply kills the tumors where they are, so they cannot grow or spread.
For Verification she has her patients visit a third party for confirmation that the tumors are dead before they leave her center to begin their lives again. So Far she is reporting great success.

Same thing applies. If it was shown to work, and had been through legit studies/trials, it would be widely used. My life is worth a lot more then someone wanting to make $$$ because they offer something that makes women think they can save their breasts and their lives. Of course when they don't make it, it's ooops. I had a double mastectomy at 43 and I have NO regrets about losing my breasts to save my life and have conventional treatment that for years has shown it can work. There is nothing 100%, but I'll go with what is known U.S. and Worldwide to work. _________________ Nancy

I am glad the treatents have helped you.
I would choose a different course than the "Gold standard" and in fact have chosen not to be treated in this manner.
I choose to keep my body whole and to treat the cancer by killing it. Obviously I do not have breast cancer, but I DO have Cancer. |

I'd say the conventional treatment worked for me because I do NOT have cancer. I was dx with it 2/14/02, but I've been NED for 5 1/2 years. _________________ Nancy

Discoclub, I do not want to end your discussion about this potentially helpful treatment option. Even though it might be FDA approved, this is not a standard procedure available to most women. Since you are obviously telling women to avoid what is standard treatment, I am moving this thread to the alternative medicine forum.
Thank you for your understanding and cooperation. _________________ Jim
