I am currently taking immunotherapy for the treatment of my bladder cancer. Sad to say but I am visiting my hometown (father) that for whatever reason is denial about the whole thing. I took my daily shot "intramuscular" as per prescribed by my physician and was informed by my father that he "researched" online and could not find anywhere where you would be ordered to get this injection in the muscle. This concerned me. Can anyone validate the injection site of immunotherapy injections?

Monica, specifically what kind of immunotherapy is your father taking? Look on the bottle and it should say. Most treatment are done in a doctor's office through an IV. However, most self-given injections are IM or at least into fatty tissue.
