| Hi all, Andrew's MRI results came in last week and all was good, except that they say in the report - Findings: There is a very subtle amount of enhancement involving a very small area of tissue within the right temporal lobe. This is comparible to the previous study dated 23/4/07 and may just represent post surgical change. A simiilar area of enhancement was not clearly seen on the previous study dated 12/02/07. It is only quite a subtle feature and is adjacent to an area of encephalomalacia and may just represent no significant pathology. Comment: There is evidence of post surgical changes involving the right temporal lobe. Comment is made of a very feint area of enhancement seen on both the axial and coronal images. We were not told anything of this when we went to see Oncologist but found this report in with scans when we got home. I assume the Oncologist doesn't think there is anything to worry about at this stage. I know there is no way of knowing yet if it is anything to worry about but would like to know if any one else has had similar findings throughout their experience with GBM. Love to all. Jen. |

Hi Jen, I have read each of your replies on the brain tumor forum that you posted today (August 3) coming to this one last. I find my eyes are filled with tears... tears of joy, admiration, sadness, and even a little envy. Joy for the good news from the latest MRI scan; admiration at how supportive you are towards others facing the same cancer Andrew has; sadness mixed with fear because of the uncertainty and roller coaster ride you and Andrew are experiencing; and envy of the close relationship between you and Andrew.
I continue to keep the two of you in my thoughts and my prayers. _________________ Jim

| WOW! thankyou for your kind words Jim, I truly feel for everyone on this forum and was deeply saddened that someone felt that nobody cared. I do try and get on and read everyone's news but there are times when it will be ages before I get on. As everyone is at different stages with this disease I feel blessed that I am still on the good end (if you can call it that). I don't know how I will be further down the track but I just take one day at a time and enjoy it to the max. I was only thinking today that you have such strength and courage and have been such a blessing to so many people whilst fighting the disease yourself. I find that I am guilty of forgetting that you are going through your own personal struggles and not just a site admin. I admire and thankyou for all you are doing for all of us that are coming to terms, fighting and grieving with this bastard (sorry) of a disease. My wish would be that everyone could have the relationship that Andrew and I share. I know that alot of people do. I am just so thankful that I met him and can share our wonderful life together for however long it is. Oh! by the way - I don't mind making people cry as long as they are happy tears. My love and strength to all. Jen |

Jen, I too get felt saddened by that and similar instances. I know that I cannot reply to ever message, but I still feel for anyone who posts a message and does not receive a reply. I depend too much on the little indicter on the side of threads to alert my to new postings. However, if I check a message but do not really have time to reply right then, the color changes and, well, often I don't make it back
Jen, the tears are of joy mixed with sadness... joy for all I see in your courage and relationship; sadness in Andrew's condition. I think about him everyday even though I barely know him or you. You are a very important member of this community. Thank YOU for your participation. _________________ Jim
