My Uncle has been diagnosed with Stage IV COPD. We were at the Pulmonologist today and his brething test showed his FEV 1 to be at 13%. I know below 30% puts you in stage 4, but I do not know really what to expect in terms of how much time he has left. I am the primary caregiver for him, and for the last year he has been tehtered to his oxygen machine and never leaves the house. If anyone can share experinces they hafve had, and give me some insight, I would greatly appreciate it.

Kevin, I am truly sorry for your uncles health problems but COPD is not a cancer. Although you are welcomed here, I don't know how helpful we can be to you since our focus is people with cancers. Often, people with COPD also have lung cancer. Is that the case with your uncle?
