Ladies, I am celebrating tonight! I finished 6 weeks of radiation today. Got my certificate for being a good patient and everything. I'm 2/3 of the way through this battle with only 4 more chemo treatments to go which will start in 3 weeks. Fortunately no side effects, burning, peeling, etc. from the radiation. I know they recommend using a lotion on the breast to keep it moist but when I broke out with small bumps someone on this board mentioned they had stopped the lotion when the same thing occurred. I took her suggestion and the bumps went away with no further problems. Thanks to everyone on this board for the support, help, and suggestions. We can't get do this alone. There is light at the end of the tunnel and it's not a train!

Marian,
Congratulations on your completion of your radiation treatments. What a milestone. I finished up in December, so I know your excitement well! I hope you continue to feel well and best wishes with the chemo.
I'm new to this board and it's amazing the support and encouragement you receive from everyone, its so awesome!
Take care,

Marion, so glad that you have reached another milestone in your treatment. You are right, there is a light at the end of this tunnel. You are doing so well. Hang in there. You're almost done. Hugs, Lauri _________________ Diagnosed 4/11/1996

Marian,
Congratulations! Usually radiation side effects are mild, but I am glad that you did not develop any.
Make sure you follow up with your radiation oncologists to ensure there is no late effects either.
Congratulations again.

Marian,
Don't know why I started to read through old posts today; but yours was one of the first ones I read. I start RT tomorrow for 6 weeks. Maybe your wonderful outcome was a direct communication to me that mine will be as great.
Thank you for posting,
