Hello everyone...
Yesterday, 7/10/07 My father was diagnoseed with stage IV lung cancer. He will be 51 in September. The doctors told us that radiation/chemo were options but because the cancer has already spread to his lymphnodes along both sides of his airway surgery was not an option. We are meeting with a team of oncologist Friday to discuss treatment options. Does anyone have any advice you could give? Or any suggestions of where he should seek treatment? We are from Maryland.

Hi Michelle,

I am so sorry to hear that your father has stage IV lung cancer!! My recommendation to you is to go with him to his oncologist appointment and take notes of everything they say... especially what type of lung cancer it is.

My recommendation would be a major medical center like John Hopkins in Baltimore. However, Maryland is close to several other outstanding medical centers.

I will keep you and your father in my thoughts and prayers.
