What exactly are the visual symptoms associated with a Brain Tumor?

I keep reading about visual changes or what not is a symptom but what exactly are these visual changes?

Anything that the brain control could be affected by brain cancer. I have mild seizures that affect my voice and my right hand. My mother and vision problems. Headaches are sometimes associated with brain cancer but not always. Neither my mother or I had headaches. God be with you.

Hi Sortascared, I have had headaches (on temples and back of head) and also have noticed I have had to move reading material a bit further away. Now I have had tension headaches before but these seem to be quite different to normal ones. Also my eyes have been feeling strange (sort of like I'm finding it hard to focus whilst driving etc but nothing actually goes blurry). Head feels heavy and I've been feeling very tired as well. This has been going on for about 4-5 weeks so due to pressure from my partner (he was diagnosed with brain tumor last year) I first went to see optomatrist and got eyes checked (a few things wrong but nothing major) then went to see eye specialist (opthamologist??) and he said my eyes are having to work harder due to getting older and also muscles under scalp coming from back of head are getting tight. I had a CT scan done just to be sure and everything was OK. This was only done 2 days ago - and then on the news that night they were talking about how far too many drs in QLD are ordering CT scans which give you a lot higher dose of radiation then normal x-rays. Anyway my mind is at ease and I probably wouldn't have worried about it so much if my partner hadn't been diagnosed last year. My point being is that although I had some similar symptoms to some types of brain tumours these are also similar symptoms to lots of other causes. Unfortunately like other diseases symptoms for one disease can also be the same or similar to other problems. Hope everything goes well for you and you do find out what is causing yours. Love to all. Jen
