hi im new here. please dont get me wrong. i wont scare anyone but back in 2001 i had NHL and i had chemo WITH rituximab (then still in a study progress) and later radiation theraphy. my doctor then told me that it is NOT yet sure proven but has ocured that some very few people who took rituximab had suffering on leukemia 5 or 6 years later. this is something that gives me a hard time in deed.
anyone here heard about this? did your doc told you about this late side effect?
this forum is great. i survived without any surgery, just with chemo ( 8 chops) and radiation. had my NHL in the upper chest between the lingwings. the scar inside still hurt sometimes and i never was able to have 100% lung capacity anymore but i am fine so far. not to mention the emotional aspects that pursues me over all those years Sad
