Hi - I have Crohn's as well as breast cancer, and psoriasis. My dermatologist prescribed an ointment called Silkis. active ingredient calcitriol (which is Vit D based) and I have been putting this on my lesions. The rectal lesion, which was split and bleeding, has now cleared up completely. Before that I was using plain aqueous cream, which softened the skin but did not clear up the psoriasis. I got it on prescription in the UK, but don't know if it is available over the counter in the US. Hope this helps you as much as it did me. Liz.

I know how you feel about the side effects but the best thing I would do if I were you in talk to your oncologist. He/She may have something for you that might work better then anything over the counter. I was able to get my hands on a great anti-nausea drug from my oncologist because gravol just didn't work for me.
Oh and Banana'a help alot with the "d" and so does peppermint but make sure to check with your oncologist before taking anything as you never know if it will interact with your chemo.

Take care and hope things get better.
