Hello, new to this website. Mother was just diagnosed with Stage III Melanoma just last month. She had 14 Lymph nodes removed 9 came back infected. She is now taking having antibiotic infusion until the 9th of next month as a result of staph she contracted at the time of surgery (another story). Anyway she will start self injecting after the antibiotic infusion with Leukine.

What is the difference with Leukine & Interferon? Is one chemo & the other immune boosting? If so, why only prescribe the one? Does anyone have information on this, if so, please pass. Thank you.
