Hi everyone,
I am now as of 06/27/2009, 6yrs 6 months since my last treatment of chemo and still in remission. My oncologist told me if I made to 5 years they would consider me in remission or cured :<) . I am up to yearly visits now. I started with stage 3 Wilms diagnosed 04/02 with alot of radiation and 26 weeks of chemo. If anyone would like to contact me, email me at charmkit2003@aol.com.
Good luck,
Lisa

Hi Everyone-

I was the original author of this thread. I just wanted to update on my health.

I am happy to report that I am still in remission. This June will be 4 years since my diagnosis.

In the fall of 2008, my oncologist gave us the go ahead to start trying for another baby. I was 37. I had some tests done and the nephrectomy caused a blockage in one of my fallopian tubes and the chemo caused some damage to my eggs and my FSH level was high.

But, by some miracle, we conceived quickly and I gave birth to a healthy baby girl in December. They watched my pregnancy closely and my one kidney handled it just fine.

I had a CT scan 6 weeks after the birth of my daughter, and everything looked great.

I will go back to see my oncologist this fall for a check-up, but will only have one more CT scan in January of 2011. Then I am done.

If anyone needs someone to talk about having Adult Wilms, please do NOT hesitate to contact me at
