has pancreatic cancer. We just found out 2 months ago and he is taking treatments. He is 54 years old and he has a stage 4 tumor. They said he would have 3 to 6 months to live if the treatments did not work. He only has 4 treatments left and then he will be done. As anyone ever heard of eating apprcot seeds to cure cancer? If so pancreatic cancer? My dad wants to try this but wants to find someone who has tryed it and worked for. This is called B-17 and we have some friends who have had cancer and this has worked for them and thats why we want to see if this will work for him. I am 27 years old and I am lost I feel helpless, I want to find answers for him to help him through this. Please anyone who could help me through this I thank you so very much.
Oh, his tumor is in the main body of the pancrease. It keeps growing and growing and they say its the fast growing tumor. |

christah, so sorry to hear about your dad. I don't have anything to offer in the way of knowledge of alternative treatments but i wanted to answer you right away. It took forever for me to get an answer to my first entry, I remember checking every 15 minutes or so- just sure someone was out there who could make some sense of all this.
Sam's oncologist is open to anything as long as it doesn't interfere with the chemo. He recommended we run anything we are thinking of through the pharmasist. That sounded like a resonable approach to us but everyone has different views on this sort of thing. Pan can being the rotten disease it is most are in pretty bad shape by dx.
Sorry i don't have more to offer. Take care of yourself. good thoughts.reenie |

Christah,
Go to search and type in apricot seeds B-17 and look at what posts are in the search. That is the only information I have. Don't really know anything about pancreatic cancer. Sorry. There are posts to read though.

| Hi, I think sometimes people don't post right away is because many of us don't have positive experiences to add to the topic, and myself I don't want to add to the discouragement... the only positive thing I can say is to spend as much time with your dad as you can-this cancer can be very aggressive and believe me you and your dad will take comfort from any time you spend with him now, regardless of prognosis. I think you are a very strong person to keep looking for a cure-what with your dad's age, that may very well be possible. By the time my dad was diagnosed his cancer had spread, unfortunately he only had two chemo treatments and it was pretty much over. But the Dr. told him the chemo was only 'palliative' anyways... It sounds like your dad has a fighting chance to beat this, and certainly has you for support. Take care of yourself and him, and take your cue from him, it might seem like you aren't doing enough, but if you are physically and emotionally there for him, even though it is tough on you, he will appreciate your efforts more than you know. I know my dad did. |
