Well...

It comes down to tomorrow..My Dad had a chest x-ray a couple weeks ago and they saw a large mass on his lung. The Doctor is pretty sure it's cancer. During the last week my Dad's had a lot of pain in his chest from pressure and hasn't been able to breathe hardly at all. Turns out there's a very large amount of fluid that's been building up in his lungs. They've tapped his lungs twice now at the Hospital and have taken a liter and a half the first time and 2 liters out the second time. Today they attached a tube to his lung to continually drain it. After the first drain they did another chest x-ray and the doctor said he saw several lumps on his pleura besides the other large mass. It's not looking good. My Dad is very scared. I've never seen him like this. He has always been Mr. Invincible. We're not very close...(long story) but I hate to see anybody suffer the way he is. The test result comes tomorrow. I hope it's not cancer but it probably is. He was a long time smoker, probably close to 2 packs a day for 50 plus years. It's hard to think of what to say to him. I tell him that I love him and that he's going to be alright. He's convinced that he's going to die soon. He asked me to pray for him so I did. I can't tell him that God told me his Angels are looking for a new fishing partner.
