Hi

I have never posted on here before, so hope i do it right Very Happy

My Mother in law passed last August from cancer and her mother and father before her also had cancer. My question is, are there any tests that my husband should ask the doctor to do?

I know if you are a woman you would get tested more if there is cancer in the family which his sister is. But is there anything that we can do?

You should have your family members or yourself go to your primary care doctor to discuss this. Prior to going, write down a family tree with all the medical problems including cancers that have happened. This will help your medical team decide if you need to see a genetic risk clinic that can further elucidate any possible genetics risks that may exist in your family.
