Can someone tell me from their own experience or medical knowledge how long a hospital stay should be required to get a confirmed diagnosis of NSCLC?

On the MD Anderson site, it says in the FAQ section that: ?Plan to stay 3 to 5 days for diagnostic testing?.

What is your experience?

Once they found the spots on my dad's lung, they did a biopsy, it took about 2 days after the biopsy to diogose NSCLC.

Thanks Tompkin,

My wife waited 10 days and still did not get a confirmed diagnosis. Her needle biopsy was inconclusive and a second one was not performed.
