My father had kidney cancer 7 years ago (age 63). He had kis kidney removed and all went well. He has had pains in in his shoulder / arm now for 3 - 4 months and went to see GP. My father told him he swam and exercised regularly...it was thought to be muscular. Anyway last week he had a referral to get an X-Ray. The radiologist said there was a lump on his lungs. In true NHS style, my father then waits and waits and waits.
He is due to see specialist next Tuesday.
His arm problem is clearly a swollen lymph node - i guess c6cms long, protruding off his tricep. Reading about kidney cancer, it does seem v likely (although we do not know for sure) it has re-appeared.
Can anyone shed any light on likelihood, what it means, treatmant etc. The way in which patients are left dangling in UK is scary.

Hello

Without knowing exactly what it is, it is impossible to know how to act. A lymphnode in that area is concerning, especially in the context of a nodule in the lung.
