Hi all.

I'm brand new here. Looking for some thoughts or something.

I have a few swollen lymph nodes under my arm. They have done a mammogram and that is totally clear. They did an ultra sound stating that they are slightly enlarged and another word I'm not sure of, but my Doctor described it as meaning they are like popped popcorn, not smooth. The "main" one is kind of on the border of the arm and breast, but again, that was fine.

The suggestion on the scan was to re-check in 3 months. My primary care doc, who I have been with awhile and do trust, agreed. Since it was done as part of a mammo they did give a Birad (spelling) of III, which is a good thing, I guess.

Now I am having terrible itching. I have had it before, in the last 6 months or so, but never really paid any attention to it. It's becoming bothersome, and from searching and reading, it can be a symptom of lymphoma. Now, with the lymph problem, I'm more worried than I was. Do I wait until I see my Doc on 10/15 for a thyroid check? (I have hypo-thyroid that we are always on top of) Does the not smooth part mean anything particular?

Any advise is appreciated.

Sue
PS: Also extreme fatigue

Hi heartofhope

Sorry to hear you are so worried. There is no need as your symptoms as such are very vague and do not neccessarily mean you have lymphoma. Write down any symptoms you may have and when you see the doctor on the 15th mention them to him/her. The wait will not harm you especially since a wait is what happens even if lymphoma is suspected.

Good luck and we are always here if you need any support.
