Hello everybody!
My dad had surgery ~14 days ago (sigmoidal colon), and lost over 3 months ~ 14 lbs (since diagnosed and went through all the tests: Xrays, colonoscopy, ultra-sound, blood tests: btw they didn't do any ct, pet or nmr scans, during the surgery they didn't see any cancer spread to the liver, but to the prostate which they removed; this happens in eastern european country). He already got out of the hospital, so I was wondering if any of you can share what diet is recommended after the surgery or what was your diet after the surgery? Since he lost so much weight and can not eat meat, at least first month or so, is it bad idea to drink protein drink (whey powder) with milk or yogurt?
Thanks everybody. I read a lot of your posts and I am not that scared anymore.
Best wishes to all of you.
