If you don't want to wait for the mod, I think you can change it yourself by going to the first post, pressing the "Edit" button, and changing the subject.

If I were you, I'd go all punny with something like "NUTS!!!" Wink

Thanks - that's normally not possible on forums -

Okay think I got them all in the first post of the thread.....thanks

Sun Mar 8th Day 9 from chemo start and at times forget entirely I've got cancer and just had some nasty bits poured into me.... Rolling Eyes

Seems the positive aspects of the treatment - arthritis and losing the infection have had an offsetting benefit that's kinda scary.

Few aches and pains not eh surgery is mostly healed.
Good energy
Good appetite
Good focus

DO need lots of sleep - getting it after stern warning to kd about all night nosiy lan parties

DO pee a lot. But also hydrating like crazy and oddly it feels good whereas before it was a chore.

Mouth all healed up - not so dry anymore but can feel it's vulnerable.
Keeping the rinsing and soft brushing with

Tummy settled.

Day 10 up very early - well rested.....

This is too weird with the mobility - I feel like I've had a Celebrex but I'm entirely drug free except for the chemo.

I do hope the chemo is 100% effective as I do like the arthritis free feeling

Never occurred to me there was a fix for the arthritis as it reallly was not debilitating just limiting so I learned to live with it...

Being arthritis free and not achy on a rainy wet cold March day is a first in probably a decade maybe more.. Rolling Eyes

Otherwise feeling utterly lazy and indulging myself. Really nothing to report. Embarassed

I've never bothered "caring for" it. After shaving, I've just left whatever stray fuzz that wanted to grow alone.

I've found that sleeping with a nightcap (the hat, not the drink) was more comfortable in the early stages, but now I am fine sleeping without it.

Hi Singledad

Enjoy the pain free status....I felt better in my first week of chemo than I had in ten years....I still have not taken anything for RA since that week in Feb 2008 Very Happy I did have a bad moment on the weekend with my shoulder but amazingly it was over the next day.....You will enjoy a lengthy remission and there is a good possibility it will never come back. The celebrex you have will expire before you get to take it I reckon Smile

Re your hair there is bugga all you can do really except buzz it off or clog your drains in the shower if you don't. My hair is now very sparse and straight the complete opposite of what it was and I am resigned to the fact it may never come back but guess what...... I don't care Laughing

keep up that good 'tude and good luck

Can't decide whether to shave it or leave stubble...did not bother me much sleeping but I might get a night cap...

Pretty even energy levels - finding I'm needing the pseudoephridine to stay unclogged in the morning - not bothering with afternoon as staff are taking over while I nap Very Happy

I tried 60 mg but too buzzy - 30 works - clears me up with little buzz....its the same stuff that gets you going in the morning anyways.

Flexibility and bounce still remarkable ...range of motion.

Looking forward to another ride on Sunday but not so warm as teh record breaking day first time.....so will be shorter.

Hi Singledad

You need to check with the docs for everything you take, do not take any other medications without checking first, that includes vitamins etc. I have no idea if pseudoephridine reacts with the R CHOP but it may do. If on the other hand you did check please disregard this warning Wink

Cheers

I asked.....it's okay as long as it's not mixed with ibuprofin. But thanks for the caution - never hurts.

Bit of a funny tale..relating to my new found lack of arthritis

forgot how high my Human Scale office chair is off the floor and bent down from it to retrieve a spilled vitamin D pill using my new found flexibility.....ass over tea kettle with lots of clatter and thumps

next time I'll lower the chair

..never would have even cross my mind to try that stunt three weeks ago.....

Rolling Eyes

Reaction to bald head is just about zero - I guess it's easier for guys....

Hi

Just as an indicator how good rituxam is my Rheumatoid Factor was consistently around the 800 mark, it was 978 when I was first diagnosed. It got down to 130's after the R CHOP. I would have been happier if it was under 100 but hey I'll take 130 over 800 plus anyday.

I used to take a ship load of pills for the RA and now nothing not even panadol Very Happy I can lift heavy stuff and even if I do my shoulders in I am OK the next day. In the past lifting heavy stuff would have me in agony for days unable to sleep and having cortisone and local anesthetic shots in my shoulder to get them moving again. I had pain in my feet to the point where I could only walk with sticks and now nothing Exclamation I had knobbly knuckles and swollen wrists with constant pain and they have since returned to normal Shocked I reckon Rituxam is the best stuff ever and to top it all off I am alive to tell you about it Wink

Its all good mate

Cheers Laughing

Finding it hard to stay warm. Part of it is surely the bald head - taken to wearing a toque about and hitting the hot tub a couple times a day.

Less energy so have been indulging with lots of sleep.
Flexibility remains good.
I always get a does of spring fever this time of year - somnolent so it's hard to tease out the chemo effects from SAD,

I'm a little more sensitive to chilly surfaces etc.

The weather is all over the map which is not helping - from 18 down to - 9 then back around to the mid ranges. Body confused enough with chemo now add the weather in ....at least it's most sunny...a good thing.

Better timing today - home by 3.30 pm that's 5 hour improvement and only two shots at getting a vein Rolling Eyes

Blood counts are good and yay my bone marrow is clear

Chemoman maybe you could outline what the blood counts mean for any like me who don't quite grasp the implications.

Still the damn low level headache but I have permission to mix up ibuprofin with acetominophen as long as I don't rely on just one....

Steroid tripping coming up... Shocked
