Hi guys,

This is my first time here and I'm surprised to see such an active community. My cousin died from esophageal cancer last year, also a good friend died from ovarian cancer a short time after. My neighbor's mother-in-law died a short time after that from a cancerous brain tumor.

It really hit home a few weeks ago when my sister was diagnosed with cervical cancer. It scared me half to death.

Well, this is my first post, so will keep it short.

Hi Ra54,

welcome to the forums. My father also passed away recently from esophageal cancer, I'm truely sorry to hear about your sister - it seems that cancer is becoming ever more common these days.

If you have questions, or want to share your story and that of your sister I'm sure you'll find plenty of listening ears here, and hopefully some very useful resources too.
